Come learn about our latest health and safety protocols, bell schedules, transportation options, mental health resources, and more!
Salem-Keizer Public Schools is partnering with the community to host in-person events in multiple languages as well as virtual events about the upcoming school year.
What:
*Face coverings will be required for in-person events. Face coverings will be provided if needed.
During these events, district leaders will share information to prepare for the new school year including: school schedules, transportation information, meal services, communication, technology, updates on COVID-19 protocols for in-person learning and more.

Spanish language presentation – Hosted by Casa de Adoración
When: Thursday, Aug. 19, 6 p.m.
Location: People’s Church: 4500 Lancaster Drive NE, Salem
Chuukese language presentation – Hosted by Micronesian Islander Community
*Community event. SKPS invited to participate to share back-to-school information.
When: Saturday, Aug. 21, 2 p.m.
Location: Chemeketa Community College: 4000 Lancaster Dr. NE, Salem, Building 2 – Student Center
Marshallese language presentation – Hosted by Micronesian Islander Community

English language presentation – ASL Interpretation Provided

Culturally-sensitive education and advocacy – Co-hosted by SK-NAACP
When: Wednesday, Aug. 25, 5 p.m.
Location: Roberts at Chemeketa: 4071 Winema Place NE, Salem
To best meet the needs of all our students and families, SKPS will be co-hosting a special culturally-sensitive education and advocacy session. During this session, we will share information about back-to-school and how we are working to further support students and families historically underserved through our system.
